Support an Established Fund

The Marshall Community Foundation successfully meets the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations administered by the Council on Foundations in Washington D.C. National Standards represents the highest measure of accountability and transparency in philanthropy.

Support an Established Fund

Your Community Foundation offers a personal approach to planned giving. We can help you customize your estate gift to support the causes and agencies that are important to you. Your gifts will become part of a permanent endowment where they will continue to address charitable needs and opportunities into the future.

For good. For ever.

You can enrich an existing fund with a gift from your estate.

The Community Foundation manages hundreds of funds supporting a wide variety of needs and interested for the City of Marshall and throughout Calhoun County. Here are several examples of how your support can be applied to existing funds.
  • Gifts to the Fund for Marshall
The Fund for Marshall is the primary unrestricted fund at the Community Foundation. The Fund for Marshall offers flexibility to support innovative programs and apply grant money where it is most needed within the city and across Calhoun County – even as needs and priorities change through the years. Grants from this Fund are initially reviewed by a committee of local residents with final approval made by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

  • Marshall Youth Fund
Similar to the Fund for Marshall, with the exception that resources from the Marshall Youth Fund are administered by a committee of local youth specifically for programs and activities that benefit youth. As with the Fund for Marshall, final approval of grants is made by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees

  • Gifts that will enrich local programs and initiatives
Field of Interest Funds provide focused grant making through the Foundation’s established grant cycles in support of a wide range of worthwhile programs and projects within Calhoun County.

  • Gifts that provide stability and support for area agencies
The Community Foundation holds numerous designated and agency endowment funds that make grants only to the agencies they were established to support. Generous donors like you now have two options for supporting the nonprofit agencies you care about – contributing directly to the agency itself or the agency’s endowed fund at the Foundation.

Our Family of Funds can be reviewed here. For more information on supporting an established fund, please contact the Foundation at (269) 781-2273.
